What happened to TapTools?

TapTools shut down in June 2026 and taptools.io is now a farewell page. Cardano lost its main analytics terminal overnight. Basilisk rebuilt the essentials on sustainable rails — free screener, free token analytics, free wallet lookup, free API, and a hosted MCP server — agent-native from day one.

Roadmap: x402 is the emerging open standard for agent payments, governed by the x402 Foundation under the Linux Foundation (Coinbase, Cloudflare, AWS, and Google are members). Cardano support is in development via Masumi Network's community x402-cardano facilitator (testnet PoC). Live trades feed and autonomous settlement are research-stage.
